GCash is a Philippine electronic wallet that stores user funds in a secure, encrypted format. They are BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) licensed, and use bank-grade security technology called EMV (stands for Europay, MasterCard, Visa). They have 2.5 million active merchant partners, and more than 60 million users.
Gcash can be used anywhere there's a MasterCard logo displayed—including online stores such as Amazon and eBay! You can also use it at physical stores like 7-Eleven and Robinsons Supermarket if they have an NFC terminal installed at their store front.
To use Gcash, consumers first need to install the app on their phone. After that, they can make payments by selecting "Cash Out" in the menu, then choosing how much money they want to withdraw from their account. The GCash app will then ask for a PIN number before processing the withdrawal request.
Consumers can also deposit money into their account from other sources such as bank accounts or credit cards by selecting "Cash In" from the menu at any time.
