GoPay is the most-used digital payment method in Indonesia, and is accepted in more than 200 countries, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The GoPay Network is the first global payment network with a single technology platform for merchants and consumers, allowing them to make and receive payments in their local currency.

More than 2 million merchants worldwide accept GoPay, including supermarkets, clothing stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and petrol stations. It allows consumers to pay for goods and services using their mobile phone either in-store or over the internet.

For users, GoPay works like most digital wallets. They can either pay online or in store, either by scanning a QR code or by entering their PIN into their smartphone app at the POS (point of sale).

At checkout, after the customer verifies their credentials, GoPay creates an encrypted token that authorizes a purchase directly to one or more financial institutions in real time. The transaction then settles between the bank and the merchant at the end of the day.

GoPay has been built from the ground up with merchant scalability in mind—so it's ready to handle any amount of transactions you can throw at it. It's also designed to be secure: all transactions on the GoPay Network require an encrypted connection between both parties involved in the transaction (meaning no one else will see what's being paid for or who's paying).
